Inheritance Law is a branch of law that regulates the transmission of assets, rights and obligations of a deceased person (called “the deceased” or “testator”) to his heirs and legatees. This legal area addresses the way in which the assets and debts of the deceased person are distributed among their successors, as well as the procedures and legal requirements to carry out this process.
